Default Dogs in the trash?

Is anyone having a constant battle with there dog for it to stay out of the trash? I just wandered if this was a issue for anyone.

My dog has a sniff now & then but we've never really had much trouble with her when it comes to trash.

My dog actually just started doing this and it drives me up the wall I can not stand it! He has also standed taking food from my daughter when she is in her high chair. That one really gets under my skin.

Dogs are opportunists so it's no suprise that they often get into garbage cans, steal from counters or from babies hands.

I've never had a problem with my dogs getting in the garbage, although, my cat used to do this frequently until I bought a covered garbage can and placed it where it couldn't be tipped.

Yes, my dog used to always go sniff in the trash and look for some scrap to eat. I agree with opokki to keep your trash covered at all times. Make the area where you keep the trash forbidden for the dog to enter. So, every time he tries to get close to the trash yell out really loud, "NO!". It would scare him and he wont do that too often.
