Unhappy mean baby

ok i have 2 pitt bulls one is a little over a year old and has always been rather shy and and a bit of a scaredy cat, i always thought that was kind of odd for a pitt, i mean have you ever heard of a full grown pit (not fixed) running, hiding and peeing himself over a 5 week old kitten hissing at him?

any way whats worring me is, we just got a new pup she's ablut 61/2 weeks old and she took emediate control, barking and growling at him till he's wimpering and trying to fit into the cracks in the floor, i've been trying to work with him on his confidence, and he's been doing better, playing with her a bit and such, and when she starts her little dominance trip i try to stop her, but i cant watch them 24/7 and i dont know if i should be messing with their pecking order, but i'm sorry if this sounds like a sterio type but when i got him i didn't exactily expect him to be like this, dont get me wrong i love him to pieces and he's probly one of the most spoiled dogs out there, but what am i supposed to do? i dont want him to be scared all his life, and i dont want her pushing him around so much, he wont even eat 'til she gives him her ok

You need to let them figure out who's going to be the Alpha on their own.Dont interfere unless their getting to rough and one may get hurt.If your always stepping in he's not going learn to stick up for himself.

It sounds like you are not the pack leader. Your confussed pitt bull wants someone to be in control. You have to do this. One step to take is be sure to walk with your dog everyday about 1 hour the right way. You are to be the pack leader so always be in control and the leader. Then your dog will know you are the pack leader and she can be safe and have direction from you. Get a book to help you. Cesar's way is the best book out there by Cesar Millan.
Good luck

Give them separate dishes so that the older dog does not wait for permission. It doesn't sound like the older dog has been socialised. Be sure he gets out and sees the world. You wouldn't keep a child locked in a room or yard for years (because you would have a stupid child), so educate both dogs by taking them to different localities on walks. That way the younger one's mind will be stimulated and she be less interested in the other dog.
