Default Help! My Dog is Uncontrollable!

I'm in serious need of advice concerning my dog!
She is a chocolate lab/boxer mix at about 7 months old.
We've had her since she was 11 weeks old and she was the sweetest, most gentle pup you had ever met. She was very laid back and calm.
Now a days, Megabyte (yeah, thats her name lol) is out of control.

She attacks me constantly trying to play by biting and jumping on me. With her being almost 60 lbs I can't have that. I have scratched and bruises up and down both of my arms from her 'playful attacks' and the more I tell her "NO" and "STOP" the more excited she gets and the more she thinks I want to play. She has a full set of adult teeth and yet she has a chewing problem. I've tried some of the sprays but she seems to like them. She has chewed one of our steps all the way through the carpet down to splintering the wood underneath, she had destroyed our coffee table, she destroyed our wooden doors and my favorite carpet all from her chewing.

We are even having issues with her eliminating outside now. I used to be able to just walk outside with her fine and she had no problems. Now when I take her outside I have to put her on a leash because she tries to run. Sometimes I have stayed with her over an hour outside but as soon as she is off her leash she runs inside the house and eliminates on the carpet. I'm tired of cleaning my carpet!

It has come to a point that I want to get rid of her if something doesnt change!

You sure are going through a lot with your pup. I would suggest a crate for housebreaking and when you aren't at home. As far as the jumping and biting. You have to be the pack leader. Your pup thinks he/she is. Read Cesar Millan's book, Cesar's Way. In this book he addresses all your issues. First you have to establish that you are the pack leader and don't let your pup take control. Walk with your pup, the right way, at least a couple times a day for at least 45 minutes each. This will establish that you the pack leader and will tier him out, so being in the crate won't be bother him as much. I am assuming you haven't used a crate. Also, when your pup bites and jumps, bring up your knee to his chest, this will discourage the jumping and will stop after doing this for a few times. There are so many ways you can correct your pups issues and they are in the book.
Good luck
Good Dog Day

First let me say puppy classes are a must!...Second,biting and jumping are attention getting behaviors..When you touch her or verbally correct her when she's doing that it reinforces the behavior because she sees it gets your attention even if it's negetive...You want to get up and walk away from her or sit with your arms folded and not make eye contact with her...She has to learn that her behavior does not get your attention and that it causes you to ignore her instead...When she learns there is no pay off for her behavior it won't serve a purpose for her anymore...Also be sure to reward her when she's doing something good!

is she home all day alone? Exercised regularly? Has toys or stimulus of some sort? Socialised with people and other dogs?

Has she had any training?

You may have a case of severe boredom/ puppy exuberance, dominance issues or I dare say both. Some more info about her daily routine (and yours) will shed some light.

Megabyte is a good name
