Default peeing ALL THE TIME!!

I have a dog who I've been working with for almost a full year now. She is a little over a year old and pees CONSTANTLY. She pees in her kennel regardless of how frequently she is let out. She pees in the house when she has just been outside 15 minutes earlier. I've almost reached the breaking point with this one. She can't be trusted for more than 5 minutes and I just don't have that kind of time.

Any suggestions?

Potty Training Guide

*You will have to put some effort into house training your puppy or dog.
*You have to be consistent.
*You have to be diligent.
*Expect accidents.

Know the signs that your puppy is about to eliminate

Puppies are quick. One minute they are playing and the next minute they are peeing on your carpet.
Some of the signs that your pup is about to pee are:

Sniffing the floor
Circling
Whimpering
Taking off suddenly to another room or area. They often do this when they want to poop.

If the problem dosent stop, maby you should have the dog medicaly checked?..

have you had her checked for a UTI?

is she spayed? females mark their territory also.

are you actually taking her out on a set schedule? or just letting her out?

I would take her out on a leash every time so you will know whether or not she has gone

you are going to have to go back to housebreaking 101 & start over but get her to the vet first.

are you using a good enzyme cleaner in the house. if you are not getting all the odor out she will continue to go back to those spots. white vinegar & water works well as a neutralizer

Sounds like it could be incontinence to me... to check for that a urine sample is taken directly from the bladder (so it's sterile) to make sure there's no infections or whatnot.

There's a couple options, liquid phenyl-propanol-aminhydrochloride and/or estrogen tablets (for females), otherwise placement of small collagen gel spheres in the urinary tract.

I would suggest you to RESTART the potty training session. You might making some mistake when potty train him. Let start all over again.

Now start with introduce his kennel to him properly? How to introduce?
First, setup a proper area or space which is a kennel to your pup. Spend some time with him at the kennel; let him know this is his bedroom. Let him feel safe, comfortable and secure in the kennel.

After sometimes, you will realize he love his den and use to taking care of his kennel as he understand that this is his private area where he will spend his sweet time there.

Tips, do not design kennel which is too big or large for your pup as they will not feel secure and will be confuse as it is too spacious.) As long as they are comfortable with, it will be enough. (Sit, stand, stretch and turn around without any obstacles)

Not to leave him for too long period of time in the kennel where he will end up not being able to control.

Besides that reduce the amount of water feed to him when leave him in the kennel.

Use positive enforcement when potty trains your pup. So not scold, yield and whack them. Reward and praise them whenever they did it successfully, explain and let them understand when they making the mistakes. You will be surprise that your dogs can understand you if you keep on trying to communicate with them with love and care. This will help to ease your potty training process.

Thought I should add that kidney problems may also be the root of the issue.

Before you do weeks of behavioral training always make sure your dog is healthy first!

All the Best!

I am experiencing the same problem with a one year old bichon frise. It's weird because he can hold it all night while sleeping but just seems to use the house as his urinal. Even peed on my pillow the other night. Let me know if you find any solutions as I have none and I am realizing why we are his 3rd owners in a year.

As your puppy is peeing all the time it should be medically checked.Generally dogs do this kind of activities when they are lazy and lack of proper training.First you arrange dog training classes for your puppy which avoids improper behaviour.
