Default Mastiff puppy behavior problem

I have a 5 month old Mastiff (male) that has been using puppy pads in the house but yesterday he had been out for 7 or 8 hours and the fist thing when he gets in is to make a huge pile on the floor. Is he mad at me and making his statement?Any help would be appreciated because he really is a sweet pup and wants to be right in the middle of everything I do,even if there isn't room for one of us.http://http://carpron.com/multisite/d/193929-2/DSCF0044.jpg[/IMG]IMG]http://http://carpron.com/multisite/d/193926-2/DSCF0042.jpg[/IMG]om/multisite/d/193941-2/omar4.jpg[/IMG]

Dog's do not have emotions like humans. They don't have bad behavior out of revenge or anger. Puppies usually have to go potty after sleeping and eating. Even if they smell other poopies they will go. But if your using puppy pads inside then your teaching him it's ok to potty inside. If you leash him every couple of hours and take him out walk around the yard until he go's then give a "what a good dog" praise. No more puppy pads he's a big dog now. Minn

I think you should poop train your dog and dogs usually poop about 2 or more times a day and leaving your pet that long... you will surely find it on the floor when you come home.

My first word of advice would be to chuck all of those puppy pads- and fast! I don't understand encouraging any dog to use the bathroom in the house, but when you own a giant breed- get him off of those! He may be confused for a while, since he has been going *inside*, but setting up a routine is going to help. When you start, take him outside every time he eats, drinks, wakes up from a nap or has a lively play session. While this may seem like reverting "infant puppy" methods, it will be a clear message that he is to do his business outside. Praise him wildly when he does!

Good luck with your big baby!

you should definatley get ride of the puppy pads and after he eats, sleeps, or plays he should be taken out side to pee. and when you get rid of the poddy pad things you might want to get something to clean up his mess when he has accidents in the house.
