OK, the dog is crate trained, I have used carpet cleaner ( Nature's Miracle), in fact I buy it by the 1 1/2 gal size I go thru so much of it.
Replacing the carpet with hard wood or tile is not possible, I live in an upstairs condo and they will not permit it for noise reasons on the lower condo. Since I live in an upstairs condo I have piddle pads on the deck on which I let him out to use. The only time he is not monitored is when my daughter is getting ready for work in the AM and she lets him out of the crate let him out on the deck and will put him back in the crate when she leaves. Yet each day I find pee on the carpet by the deck door. He is 2 years old and yes, nutered.
Any new ideas out there ????

apparently he is not getting enough "outside" time. at least he is going in one spot & not all over the house.

here is just one of the many sites that sell doggie doors for different types of doors including sliding glass, which I'm guessing is what you have.

that should solve the problem as he seems to know what he is supposed to do.

Have you tired puppy pads or a litter box?
