Hi. I have a five year old cavalier king charles spaniel named Lucy who is very affectionate and loves children. However, I had a baby girl three months ago and not only does Lucy totally ignore the baby to the point of actually avoiding her, Lucy has also started to ignore me. She no longer snuggles up to me, preferring to lay on the other couch, and has little interest in playing with me. She still loves my boyfriend though. I have made every effort to include Lucy in our activities, I always greet her first when I come home, and take her out with us whenever we can. It bothers me that Lucy will not go near the baby, and also that she seems to have distanced herself from me. I know it's likely jealousy, but I've tried everything to make her feel loved and included. Any advice?
