Unhappy Adopted Dog with Alpha Male Issues, Help!

I just adopted my Chihuahua Hugo, 2 1/2 year old, about a month ago. He's a very nice dog but has a lot of behavioral issues. I heard from the rescue place I got him from that he's had maybe three or four families in his short years, so I don't really blame him! Anyway, I really can't afford extensive behavior training and was wondering if anyone could give me advice on some of his problems.

1.) He is SUCH an alpha male. I'm a girl, and I have a boyfriend, and Hugo would never bite someone, but any time my boyfriend kisses or hugs me he nips at him.

2.) Hugo's neutered but I'm still having issues with him marking. He's potty trained, it's not a problem with him being unable to hold it. How do I correct this?

3.) He has serious separation anxiety. I don't blame him... he's been abandoned alot in life. I spend a lot of quality time with him but I just can't spend every waking moment with him and he just cries and cries whenever I leave him.

Any help would be SO appreciated! I love Hugo but I need to help him adjust to his new home and my life a bit better.

I GUESS YOU, YOUR BF AND YOUR DOG MUST HAVE A QUALITY TIME TOGETHER SO THAT YOUR DOG DOESN'T GET JELOUS WITH YOUR BF

you can correct it by training him more..

i think your dog must used with it..it is like a baby who's crying when her parents leave in their house..and once you got back bring him rewards..
