Hi there,
I'm desperate to get my cocker spaniel calm! Milo is a very neurotic, hyper, and a friendly dog. Confusing I know! I love him to bits and I've tried everything from personal trainers, to long walks, playing with him to tier him out (but it back fires and makes me exhausted) his energy is endless and distructive; my garden is distroyed with his tracks. When he's outside he barks at anything that goes by the gate. I even covered the gate so he can't see out but he can still hear and smell things go by and starts barking.....:??? :???:
When he's inside the only place he can stay calm is the kitchen so he pretty much stays there (I have a large kitchen, so he isn't tightley ristricted but I wish he could be with the family all the time). I'm heartbroken because my husband and I would like to start a family but are worried that even though Milo isn't aggressive he could jump and hurt the child. If we give him away it makes me feel like I've failed him as an owner, and it's not fair on the new owners to deal with all the problems.
Please Help!...I love him for all he is! but I'm so tiered physically and emotionaly
