Default help me with my pug/beagle mix

My beagle/pug mix has been getting really agressive with me and my husband. Whenever we get onto him anymore he turns around and tries to bite us. He gets really aggressive towards our neighbor comes to the fence he tends to go off and attempts to get through our fenced yard to get him. He is also has a few dogs of his own (our neighbor) and when they get out and come to our fence he tends to try his best to get out of our fence to get them too! We have just recently got him from this woman who was going to take him to the animal shelter and surrender her rights to them. We were there by chance because we were looking for a dog. We decided to take him home and he was really well behaved until we brought this other dog home from the shelter and got two puppies! Will someone please help us with our pug/beagle mix?

He probably wasn't socialized properly. Right now, he is showing signs of thinking he is the pack leader over you two so you have to be firm with him and you may want to consult a behaviorist. Also consider naturing him if he is not already.

Default behavior issue

You need to find a trainer or behaviorist to look at this dog. You did not give enough information for anyone to really know what is going on with the dog. Comments about the dog trying to be alpha are not only irresponsible they are often flat out wrong. The dog may be scared, it may be resource guarding something. You need more help than an online forum can give. But I'll give it anyway, using punishment to correct this behavior will likely make it worse.

If you have the opportunity, you can check on the previous owner of your dog his history. By doing that, you can have a head start on how you can start your training. Beagles are independent dogs but training a beagle is fairly easy because they are also friendly in nature. Just separate him for a few more weeks and let him learn socializing little by little by making him spend time to the other breeds a couple of minutes and increase the time gradually as days pass by.
