We have 2 dogs. One older about 10 neutered male. 1 3year old male not neutered. The younger one licks where ever the older one has sat or sleep. This happens almost immediately after the dog moves or sits somewhere else. He will lick the floor, chair, couch etc. It seems disgusting on one hand but on the other maybe he is just cleaning up. First have your older dog examined by your vet. He could have a health problem, like infected anal glands or a urinary tract infection.

Second, get the younger dog neutered.

You shouldnt let the younger dog lick your older dog's behind especially when he just came from outside since he can get bacteria that can be harmful to his health.

is your dog(who licks a lot) is harmless?if yes, i dont see a problem with that, that is still normal
