YOur best option is to begin working with a trainer. I saw in another post that your dog is part wolf and while they are very smart most wolf-hybreds end up in shelters as they are very strong willed, hard to train, dominant, have higher aggressive tendencies... there is a wolf/wolf-hybred rescue about 35 minutes from where I live. You MUST begin working with an experienced professional trainer right away and make sure to SOCIALIZE, SOCIALIZE with other dogs, cats, and people of all ages!

Hi, there are some really good anti-pull leashes that go around the shoulders. They put presssure on the shoulders when the dog pulls. Also remember that you are the lead dog! Dogs are very perceptive to what you are feeling. If you are feeling anxious, your dog will get excited and know it can get away with the pulling. If you stop when the dog pulls and stay calm, then it will know that pulling will not get him what he wants! Check out Ceasar Milan, the Dog Whisperer, at Ceasarmilan.com. He also has developed a collor that might help. Good Luck!!

Cesar Milan's collar is very poorly designed. I know a few people who have gotten them and they have all sent them back. Once it gets tight it does not loosen and is very dangerous! Very easy to cause damage to a dog's neck.

A few options for help with pulling ALONG WITH A TRAINING PROGRAM (remember these are all just tools and are not training). You can try a Gentle Leader, Easy Walk Harness or Pinch Collar.

Make sure you look into the trainer/method you use. Examples: The Kohler method uses choke chains and harsh corrections, Cesar Milan/Dog whisperer uses intimidation and bullying, Victoria Stillwell uses reward based + appropriate punishment, Steve Duno uses methods that work the way dog's think and focus on non-violent methods of showing your dog you are the "leader", the list goes on and on and on... Just pick a method you feel comfortable with and stick with it.

I think you and your dog haven't had harmonious relationship at moment. try to get something to let him trust you and rely on you. else dont connive him so easily. animals dont have too much self- control. remeber .

Red face We had a similar problem

When I got my pup he had never even been on a leash so he thought he was going to drag me every where. I am his main care giver so he has learned to stay right next to me but when my husband or kids try to walk him he still thinks he can pull on them. I went with the method of putting him on leash and walked him in our back yard but I kept tension on the leash at all times even when he was by my side and he learned in a few days who was boss and stopped trying to pull. So then I moved to the front yard then to the side walks and as I was working with him I invited people to come over so he had distractions he still knew what to do. Remember take him as many places as you can and keep up with the rountine and showing him on who is boss. Once he thinks he has won you lost and you are starting all over again. I hope this helped you some. It seemed to be the best method for my pup and is working so far.
