I have 2 dogs. 10 yr old black lab/golden retrieve mix and an 8 yr old maltese. They get along very well, but recently my lab has been acting very strange and always wanting to lick the maltese and whimpers and cries when he can't (we dont let him). The maltese will nip at the lab when he's tired of it and had enough but it's really really annoying our family. We are cosntantly having to try and stop this behavior. The maltese coat has gotten very ugly and smells horrible because of all the saliva on it. And just don't know what to do or how to make this better. oh yeah, maltese is fixed lab is not. any advice will be greatly appreciated!
