5 month old Brussel Griffon eats own poop
My 5 month old pup will pee on her puppy pad, but refuses to poop on it. When she poops, she eats it. When I "find" her doing it, I give a verbal command of "poop on paper"! I've tried to rub some of her poop on the paper, so that she will get the smell and put 2 and 2 together. NOT HAPPENING! Her breath is horrible, but giving her a breath cleaning chew is just rewarding her for eating her poop. She is a small dog, and eats well. PLENTY of energy!
How do I stop her from doing this????

What do you feed her, she may be lacking something in her diet...

First off, yes, lets look at diet. If your dog is eating a quality diet (ie: Blue Buffalo, Wellness, Merrick, Innova, Raw diet, etc.) then we can begin looking at ways to stop this behavior. In many cases a poor quality diet (ie: Eukanuba, Science Diet, Iams, Purina, etc.) can be a cause.

Kennadie eats Science Diet. I thought that was supposed to be a good brand of food for her. What would ya'll suggest that I feed her?

Stay away from food's that list by product's, corn, corn meal. You want the first ingredient to be meat. Here's a good link to compare the different food's.
http://www.diamondsintheruff.com/foodchoices.pdf
A few that are good are
Wellness
Innova
Solid Gold
I'm sure other's will come along and give you more tips... I looked at Science diet's ingredient's and I would'nt use it.. The one's I listed will cost you a little more but will also save you money in vet bill's in the long run...
PS> I seen corn listed in SD corn is just put in commercial pet food as a filler and it's just the corn that is not fit for human consumption...

Other foods that are good quality are:
Blue Buffalo
Merrick
Science Diet is one of the worst on the market.
