Exclamation Dog aggression

My five year old female Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue dog barks like a madwoman whenever anyone (including my husband) comes to the door. She also jumps on and seems to bite (though not severely) our two year old RR on her way to the door. She also barks and charges if anyone comes into my bedroom (an overnight guest for instance. Any ideas for turning this behavior around?

Default Dog aggression.

Wow!!! I have had dogs all my life and I've never had one who behaved like that. I don't even know what to suggest except to get a personal trainer and get everybody involved in the training. All I can say is try everything you can to correct the problem. Hopefully, someone more knowledgeable will be able to offer you better advice.

hi rokirox,

in your case it is an absolute requirement to contact a specialist,
to work therapeutically of your own is not to accept. You can not take the responsibility.

When you do something wrong, then the aggression will be shown against the own holder.

Look for somebody who works without violence, and unnecessary equipment and includes you in the training.

Its just a matter of time till they will snap at somebody because it is a territorial behavior and I guess ressource "mommy"
Thats no good news, but therefore ingenuous.
