Default Weird new behavior

I have a mutt of about one year. Other than being hyper and jumping on people when they first come in, she has been a wonderful puppy

I went on vacation for 8 days, leaving her with my roommate, who has a dog of her own. My roommate isnt the best - she often leaves her dog alone for a while and some days barely pays attention, but she assured me that she would take great care of my dog.

I do know that my pup has never slept in her kennel when she didnt have too. While I was gone, according to my roommate, she slept in her kennel. Since I have come home, my dog has been in this weird anxious mood. I have fed her and when I do she runs to her kennel- like she wants her food there. I have never fed her in her kennel, just treats. She barely eats anyway- she sniffs around her food whining, knocking the bowl over, then pushing all the pieces into a pile with her nose. She has become very possessive of her toys and her kennel, and her space. The cat even went near her kennel and she growled at him- she has NEVER done that, they always play. The night I got home she jumped off my bed and started attacking my roommates dog when he came into my room as well.

This behavior really frightens me. She seems anxious and nervous. I put her in my room with my tonight, closing all the other animals out with her food and water, maybe thinking the other dog kept eating her food (he does that, hes just a fatty) and she is still acting anxious. I plans on taking her to the vet as soon as i can get an appointment but can ANYONE help me with why my Callie is acting to odd? She is like my child and I hate seeing her upset.

Thank you!!!

hi,

have you spoken with your roommate?
Has something happened during your absence?

Do you have the feeling that she has a aversion to go inside her "box"?

Does she only act anxious inside the house or has her beviour changed outside?

Tell me Katie, when you knew that you roommate is not the best dogmummie, then why did you left your babie with such a human?
