Can Dogs See Ghosts?
Hi all, I've been doing some reading about this recently so thought I'd come to a place with lots of dog owners to find out more.
Have a read and let me know your thoughts:
Can Dogs See Ghosts? - Real Ghost Stories
Many Thanks.

I've heard that dogs can see ghosts. Animals pick up on all sorts of energy, etc that humans don't. I have no personal knowledge of this subject, though.

I think so. They say dogs have a third eye. Their sensors are very sensitive.

I've always thought animals had a bit of a 6th sense but a couple of months ago something weird happened that has made me believe this even more.
Our house is nothing to write home about, nothing too old or spooky, but I've always felt a presence or something. I was sitting in the living room with my puppy, Pocket, beside me when she started staring at the window. Thinking it was birds outside I didn't think anything of it. When I looked up again - horrors - the curtain moved, about 10 inches or so, to one side. Well, puppy went NUTS and ran from the room (leaving me high and dry!) I had to call constantly to get her back into the room where she stared and growled at the offending curtain. Now, the windows were all closed, cats were out, I cannot explain this. But after seeing the reaction of Pocket, I am more than convinced she saw something before the curtain even moved. It hasn't happened since, but I am always watching for strange reactions like this now!
Can dogs see ghosts? Well they sure can see something!

I do not believe in ghosts, but the other day my saint bernard and i was sitting on the front step and she stated whining and barking and tried to sit in my lap for no reason that I could see. Never had her do that before. Don't know what happened. She acted scared.

YES they can or feel them.......we took our dogs for a walk and there was a historical house up for sale- well I wanted to see what it always looked like and now it was empty- went up to the house and my dog was freaking out--(not like him) I then made him go over so I can look in the windows He kept tugging me away the whole time and barking.
Days later I was talking to my gf and told her I got to peek in it and she said her friend does historical house research and people said orbs/ghosts were photographed in there. I then told her about my dog- she got goose pimples.
so the time came for me to buy a house and I told the real estate agent that if my dog could not come then I wasnt working with her cause I was not buying a haunted house..........

many years ago when we had our border collie emma, my friend brought her fiancee to visit us, ( he was odd to say the least) and he was in to spirits etc (not the drinking kind) and Emma was the most laid back placid dog you would ever want. well he went to make friends with her and all she would do was bark at him and then hid under the kitchen table.
She never did this with anyone before she met him or again with anyone after wards, most peculiar. all he said was that she can sense the spirits around him, then he wanted to proceed to get in touch with my nan who had died recently then, my words were there's the door use it if that' what your going to be on about. After they got married he came to our house once more and Emma was the same with him. but she never did it with anyone else, perhaps she was just a very good judge of character, as my friend got rid of him after 5 years of marriage, as he was a total toss pot.
so to some degree i do feel dogs feel more and sense things, but i'm not a believer in the silly clap trap that he was sprouting to us about contacting the dead. the dead should be left in peace.
