I have a poodle/shih tzu mix. She is the sweetest dog ever.However, If you dont tell her to go off the porch and go potty and make sure she goes she'll go sniff around and come back in the house and go in the side room and pee on the floor. I have tried everything I can think of. Is there anything I can put on the floor to keep her from messing in the floor. Any info would be greatly appreciated.:mrgreen:

Your problem may be what you're using to clean up after the dog urinates. Cleansers with ammonia smell like urine to dogs. Therefore, even though you think you've removed the smell, they still smell urine. Clean the area with plain white vinegar. It's inexpensive, environmentally friendly and, it works.

Take her on the leash and go with her! When she pees show her a special sign and go back inside; later, when she knows the sign already you can change it and give the sign first and she will react with doing her business.
