Question Sudden Agression

I am tring to help someone that has a 2 year old Siberian Husky. This dog had pups in Jan/09 She was spayed in March/09. Since having the pups she has become aggresive. She is aggresive towards other dogs and doesn't seem to like children any more. I thought spaying would be the answer but apparntly she is still showing this behaviour. Does any one have any suggestions as to what might have caused this sudden change in attitude.

If she is now 2 and had the pups last January, this would put her at approx 14 months of age which is far too soon for her to have had a litter. This is probably the reason why she is acting this way. It is enough of an emotional strain on the dog physically as well as emotionally to alter her behavior when a puppy is having puppies. An adult dog meaning at least 2 to 3 years of age is more likely to deal with the birth of pups in a proper manner with less change to behavior. Keeping in mind that a puppy has yet to develop completely and therefore is more subjected to behavioral issues that can be worked with as they develop.

I agree with Yogi. She was too young to have pups. That has no doubt had a significant role in the change in her behaviour.
