Default We need help

 Hi, my name is Bonnie , I know you don't know me but this site was recommended to me by a good friend of mine who said you were ALL dog lovers.
I have 2 German Shepherds, Keiko - 7yrs. - male and Keisha - 4 yrs.-female, and my dogs are my life! Keiko has cranial cruciate ligament rupture (CCLR) which requires surgery approx. $1500.00 by the time everything is done. I need help....I cannot afford this operation and I DO NOT want to put my boy to sleep. Both Keisha and I would be devasted. I lost my signifigant other 2 yrs. ago after 20 yrs. and who was there to lick my tears ? MY KEIKO !!! I often say now "Keiko is the only man in my life worth keeping" (hee, hee) So , please, if you can find it in your heart to help us out we would be forever grateful. You may send your donations to ....KEIKO LE BEAU CHIEN

For anyone else reading this, this proves the importance of health insurance, especially for large dogs! Problems DO occur, and it's our responsibility as dog owners to be prepared for them.

Keiko does need surgery, and I really hope you can find a way to get him sorted, but this is really down to you. Do you have anything you could sell or pawn? Some vets might offer a payment plan, or get a loan? I've got my fingers crossed for you, but don't think you will get much money appealing over the internet, to be honest.

It would be nice if insurance was available to everyone. Perhaps the UK has good policies for pets. Although I have heard that there is pet insurance in Canada, an acquaintence of mine had it and it did not cover the nessessary operations that their dog needed.

Its important to read the small print, and I'm sure there are good insurance companies in the US. You want a company that covers For Life. I am insured with Pet Plan here in the UK.

Dog insurance is available in Canada and the US now. Here's some quick information on what pet insurance does for you and some providers:
