Hi dave1606,

maybe your dog has pain and needs time for herself.
With two weeks the milk teeth are breaking through and to feet the puppies is not painless. Look at her teats, if they are raw. Did she change her normal behaviour?

But you should ask yourself how much you helped your terrier with her pups?
Maybe, if you have done a lot, she will give up her business as a mother to leave it up to you.

Maybe the puppies are beginning to have teeth and thus it is painful for her to feed them.

Or if the 7 pups have been suckling together, it must be stressing her out. Imagine 7 hungry puppies pulling her teats at the same time. How about you try to let 2 puppies get fed first? then another 2 and the next 2 and the last one?

or maybe the basket is too crowded for them and she can't sleep inside it? Try to make a bigger space for mother and puppies and see if it helps.
