Default Erratic Shih Tzu behavior

I have a 5 year old Shih Tzu neutered male named Pokie Pipsqueak.
We brought him into our home when he was 8 weeks old to be a brother to our shelter mix, Gumby Giggles who is now 6 and our family grew to include 2 Husky brothers, now 3, and a Shiba Inu who is 4.
Pokie is pack leader and proud of it. Always bright, loving and playful.
Recently we have noticed periods of erratic behavior. Pokie will jump on a lap after being so insistant on being there, then jumping right back down. Tries to climb chairs to get on top of the desk or onto a window sill then jumps right back down. He is almost in a frenzied state as he does this. This will last for 15-20 minutes and then he will calm down.
He has regular vet checks and is healthy in all respects but this new behavior is worrying me. I can't tell for sure, but it is almost as if he is in a state of low-grade terror.
Any suggestions to help my little man?
Thank you in advance!

Welcome to the forum! Very interesting names you've got for your pets...

Sounds like they could potentially be seizures. Here's a thread where this similar issue was discussed;

Thank you so much for your response, Todd.
Your post had me running Pokie to Dr. Tsao who was quite thorough with his exam and said it was either anxiety or seizures. He did bloodwork so he has markers to check for changes and for now we are treating Pokie with an anti-anxiety med. Pokie is still not the same but not in the same frenzied state as before. If things don't change in a couple days or if he has another crazed episode, we are to return to the doctor for additional testing.
Again, thank you, Todd, for alerting me to this. I know Pokie Pipsqueak thanks you too!
