GSD Bullying other dogs
I have 3 lab males and a Belgian Sheep dog female, I used to help out re-homing GSD's and re-homed a male and female about 14 months ago to the same home. We kept in touch and regularly walk all the dogs together.
When the Male GSD sees any of the other dogs playing, he immediately runs at them and barges into the first dog he can catch, biting/mouthing their back/top of neck. The other dogs sometimes yelp and on a couple of occasions this has resulted in a brief fight, it is mainly against one of he chocolat labs. He gets told NO, but sometimes just turns around and does it again. My belgian, has been knocked over a couple of times, but she bites back at him and backs away, but she is the only one that is interested in playing with him. She stares at both the male and female GSD until they give chase and then she's off, quite funny, and nothing agressive, just a chase. But if the the 2 females chase, he intercepts the GSD female and bounces her onto the floor, runs straight into her.
This results in my dogs not being able to tear about, I can't throw a ball for mine, so take them on a walk on their own before meeting the GSD's. It's like he's bullying the other dogs, the labs are just not alpha-dogs and simply keep out of his way.
The male GSD seems quite insecure, and runs in front, but always comes back to his owner, he never strays too far. Mine are always within eyesight, but quite happy to sniff and "do their own thing". The female GSD is also interested in playing ball, but she gets bounced on by the male GSD as well.
I've searched online but don;t know what sort of keywords to use.
Has anyone seen this before or have any help ? I still want to keep walking mine with the 2 GSD's.
many thanks

This is what is happening, Male GSD is alpha of the whole pack of dogs, he is insecure dog though. He doesn't share the same energy as the other dogs that are playing nicely. My suggestion is keep him on a 6 ft leash and get him to relax. This may take a long time even days, then when he and other dogs are all relaxed then release him then. He may never loose this behavior completely, part of it is, him being him.

It almost sounds as if he is jelous of the other dogs playing and gets angry with this. What do you think? I would try this...
When he goes at the other dogs playing and gets aggressive. Leash him and put him inside or remove him from the situation. He will son learn that hios behavior with get him away from the situation.
