New puppy help...
My fiance and I recently got our 7 week old lab/husky mix. I know that this is too young for her to leave, but it was our neighbour who has the lab and one of his friends has a husky and since neither of them are fixed, well you can see the result. Anyways, he didn't want to keep them, saying they were getting too costly and because we live far away in the country he was just going to release them. A couple of my friends adopted the some of her brothers and sisters and the rest were rescued by our local pet shelter. So that is how we got Clover, she's been checked by the vet and received a clean bill of health.
She's been doing really well with potty training and has only had 1 or 2 accidents, she's really smart and already knows to go on the grass. She's eating healthy, drinks lots of water and is sleeping regularly.
One quirk that I don't understand is that she will put her front paws in her water dish and "dig" almost all of it out onto the floor, I really don't mind cleaning it up, but it's a little funny and weird. Just wondering why she might be doing this.
Another thing is chewing. She chews EVERYTHING, she is getting better, but still goes for the corners of rugs, chairs and wires. We've tried deterring her by giving her her toys, but they only manage to hold her attention for 5 minutes at most. I've spoken to registered trainers and they suggested ice cubes with peanut butter, well she hates them. I've tried "pupsicles" and no luck with that either. I've tried freezing her toys and giving them to her, but still no luck. I've tried bully sticks that was recommended from the vet and she doesn't seem interested in those either. Does anyone have any other tricks up their sleeves that I can try? I've spoken to my friends and their puppies stick with their toys. I think I always manage to pick the weird ones from the litter.

You can try putting the spray bottle on stream instead of spray and mixing it with vinager...Just be careful not to get her in the eyes because it'll sting..You can also go to Petsmart or Petco and by a product called Bitter Apple..It's made to spray on furniture, walls, etc and it won't hurt the puppy...You'll have to respray frequently though....It tastes really disgusting so when they go to chew on anything that's sprayed with it they get a mouth full of yuk!..
My Husky used to chew on us more then anything and when nothing else worked I finally took the Bitter Apple and squirted her iin the mouth with it and she quickly stopped using us as her teething ring...
As for playing in the water, totally normal!..My Husky would get a mouthfull of water, spit it out on the floor and then once she made a big enough puddle she would role around in it!
Also keep in mind that your Husky is a mix of two high energy breeds so make sure she's getting a ton of excercise...When puppies have tom much energy and no way to release it they get frustrated and can become destructive.

Ha ha, trust me we give her plenty of exercise, when she wakes up of course. She loves chasing my fiance all around the yard and will do it non stop if we don't stop ourselves. I think I'll have to stop by PetSmart later this evening and pick some up.
We still live in my parents basement and I don't think they would appreciate her chewing all of their furniture. Thanks for the advice! And I'm glad to hear that the water thing is normal. I was starting to think I had one weird dog. I already have a weird lizard and that's enough.
