Hi

My dog BUDDY is a mixed breed not sure exactly (well not at all) what breeds he has . We think he has some great dane in him.

He is 5 years old and does not like to play. does not run around chasing balls, does not like dog treats. He does like pats and kids and loves going for walks.

He tends to run away and hide.

I have had him for 4 weeks ( I adopted him from a work associate) and his previous owner has not given me much insight into him.

Does anyone have any suggestioins to bring some life to BUDDY. He is such a great dog.

It's very early days for him in a new home. It can take 5 or 6 months for a dog to settle in a new home and for his true personality to shine through. He may never want to play fetch or tug but if he is happy and enjoys life he can still be a great companion.
