Default Not sure what to do with barking buddy

Hi,
We recently adopted a Miniature Pinscher, his name is Zeus, he is about a year old. He is a great little dog, very friendly and he gets along great with our little terrier mix Rory that we have had for about 6 mos.. he is about 1 1/2 yrs old, very quiet and a little timid.
The problem is when I take both dogs out for a walk, Zeus will start barking at another dog that is also being walked. He will stop barking when I tell him to do so, but then Rory will have joined in the barking too (something he has never done before) It is an aggressive type bark, and HE won't stop barking
He never does this when I walk him alone.. He is usually more interested in lizards and rabbits etc..
Is this common behavior with multiple dogs?
Should I walk them separately? Any suggestions?
