Default Unsociable

I recently became the proud owner of a 7 week old female Boston Terrier. She is doing very well. My problem is that my 10 yr old female Rottweiler and 3 yr old male bichon frise are being very antisocial.
The little puppy wants to play and they just don't want to have anything to do with her. Any advice on how I can help Rott and Bichon to overcome this?

Our two older saints don't want anyhting to do with our youngest saint. They just don't like playing with Buster. So we are going to adopt a playmate for him.

Dogs are like people in that respect. You can not make them friends. My oldest dog is not interested in playing with other dogs at all. She loves people and ignores the two terriers.

They will probably warm up over time, but it isn't a definite. As long as they aren't violent, there's nothing to really worry about, though. You'll simply have dogs that don't want to socialize with each other - like real brothers and sisters.

They may get used to having each other around, but it's not gauranteed that they'll play and sleep together or anything like that. Our oldest saint doesn't pick fights with our other dogs, but she sure doesn't engage in any kind of contact with them either. She has the attitude that says, "We live in the same house together, that's all. We are not friends. You stay to yourself, and I stay to myself and there won't be any problems." Some dogs are just like that.
