Default Dog keeps cardboard in throat to build excitement?

Yes weird, but we are hoping maybe someone has heard of this or has any insight.
Our large(125lb) lab/ ? mix dog has lots of quirks. And lots of anxiety.
Anyhow, he likes to munch on cardboard, soften it up and store it in his throat area. Then he gets excited and wants to play fight. Sometimes he will keep in that area for a later play fight. We have never ever heard of anything like this.
???

That is strange. I have no clue what it is. You'll have to ask a vet that one.

Just out of curiosity how is he getting the cardboard...Is there a way you can keep him from getting a hold of it?...I would be worried if he wound up swallowing any of it!...I would think there might be a chance of him getting a blockage if he swallowed to much of it.
