Default Dojo - Pee Corelation?

My teen dd has a Rhodesion that is 3y.o He is neutered, house trained and very smart. Of late he has taken to peeing a small (saucer size) puddle just at the livingroom door that leads to the foyer. He only does this when I take her to the dojo 2x at night per week. He is peed before we leave (the last thing we do besides locking the doors), I am only gone 10 minutes, he only does it these time (she can go to school, out on dates, etc). He knows he's done wrong because he slinks away the moment I walk in: its like he's protesting?! She has been going to the dojo a year now and he is just now starting to do this (3 weeks now, he did not pee the night she stayed home from dojo). I've tried the scolding, making sure the floor has nothing that would make him want to mark (my kids are not careful where they walk and are oblivious to what they track in) but I can't figure out what his issue is about her leaving for dojo all of a sudden. He does not do it when I return to get her in a couple of hours so I am assuming it is some sort of negetive behaviour about her leaving for dojo. Any suggestions? I don't want to leave him out in the cold and wet while I run her down, my car is too small to fit all the kids and him in and he fights loading into the crate ... Many thanks in advance.

MAybe there is another smell there that she is bringing home that he really doesn't like. Does she leave for dojo in her uniform or does she change there? Meybe you can have her change there and see if that changes anything. Have her load her bag up in the car about an hour or two before she leaves that way he doesn't link grabbing her bag to going to dojo. Maybe she can leave the house through a different door. Anything to fool him into thinking she's doing something different than what she is doing.

Default thanks

Thanks for the reply.
I think we will have her take another route out, move her dojo bag to the car the day before and anything else we can to mix it up and keep it mixed ...perhaps even exercise him to where he just would like to cuddle/relax on his mat for a nap while she is gone. The only thing that has been any different is that her new crush is at the dojo ... maybe her dojo senses that change in her emotions and being her baby, acting out? Thanks again for the ideas, definately worth a try!!

Are dogs allowed to go to the dojo? Maybe the dog can go with you guys when you drop her off. And he can come with you to pick her up too. The one that I go to is very family oriented and dogs are allowed as long as they are well behaved and tied to the wall while we are in class. I never take my dogs with me. I don't think it's ok for me to take 3 saint bernards and a great pyrenees because they take up too much space and Buster is a tarded doggie that wants in on any action that remotely looks like wrestling. You have to post pics of your daughter in dojo. And pics of the doggie too. We'd like to see.

Default under the circumstances

Thank you for your reply. We have a very pro-dog community but I would never ask because of the nature of jijitsu with the grappling, kicks, defensive/ offensive stances in addition to the throws, loud kee-I's and other vocalizations... it would be un-naturally cruel to put a dog who is naturally protective of his person/family in such a position. Perhaps if he was a different breed or was raised in such an environment where he was exposed to this on a daily basis it would not be a tramatic situation/experience. I also personally do not believe that this is an acceptable environment for any dog unless they are training in part themselves, such as in a k-9 unit or other working dog, that would require them to be in a martial arts 'learning' situation.

I practice with my dogs there. They are used to all of the noise and probably laugh at me when I fall on my butt. I take Shorin Ryu. What does your dog do when your daughter practices at home? Do you put him in another room?
