Default Help grieving 3 years old Dog :(

Good Morning Everyone,

I'm new to the site and I need some help Please!!! I had to give my 3 year old Aussie, Nygel to My mom and dad because I could not afford all of my dogs. Nygel was brought to me as a pup by my brother (He was from a Litter of Pups from his male dog) I already had 2 female Aussies. Anyway, my question is, I took Nygel to my parents on Veterans day and I feel so bad cause, he acts like he's grieving... I thought if i came to see him and visit him often it would help, but that seems to make it worse.....He's in a fenced in yard with his dad and he's familiar with my parents place. Can someone help me to make this transition easier for him........He's a wonderful dog...Thank you so much'

Oh that's a tough one! Actually I was talking about doggie adjustments with a lady from animal control today. She said some dogs really do well in adjusting if you visit but others struggle a LOT more. If your doggie is very upset when you've visited, you might need to wait a little longer until they give a good report before trying another short visit. It's not easy no matter what you do...have you considered buying a lottery ticket?
