Can anybody explain this please???
I have a Bernese Mountain dog, she will be happily asleep or lying on her bed the whip her head around and start nibbling at some part of herself. I get why she does it if its hot and sometimes it can just be an itch but its becoming quite regular as if a bug has landed on her. Are old dog, a daschund, used to have this phantom bug problem (as we call it) too. Il starting to wonder if I should take her to the vet? Its definately not fleas by the way.

If anyone could shed any light on this that would be great
