Question First Post. Need Help

I have had my Rat terrier for 6 years now and the strangest thing has happened recently. She is fully house broken and has been since we adopted her. Most recently though after the loss of our 6 month old puppy she has started to relieve herself inside. I don't know if maybe she is depressed at the loss of him or if there is something else that is wrong maybe physically.

She does go out regularly and has never done this before. I thought about getting another puppy for companionship to see if that would maybe fix the problem. Does anybody have any suggestions? I'm in real desperate need of help. I can't handle the messes anymore.

Best to take her to the vet as this very well may have nothing to do with the death of the puppy! And please do not let your vet prescribe Proin!!! Please read this--very long --but could save your dog's life!!
[B]Is your dog on PROIN? READ THIS! This is 21 pages with 203 replies--97,505 people have viewed this. This is the most important thread in this whole forum!! And please note the long other name for this killer--mentioned in the very 1st post so that you don't get this crap by any name!

Is your dog showing any other signs of mourning? Was this dog that died her puppy? What happened to the puppy--not healthy or an accident? I ask because if it died from a health problem--Could there be a connection with this dog having 'caught' something too that is causing this problem.

YOU REALLY DO NEED TO SEE A VET!!!

He died in an accident. He wasn't her puppy. She was just getting used to him. Other then what has just recently started I don't see any other signs of mourning. I do believe she has anxiety problems but this is a first for me. She does not go out of the yard unless she is going in the car with us. I worry when she is acting out of character. Taking her to the vet might be the best option.

Vet time for your doggie. Could be a UTI or something like that.

Luna is right. Anytime there's a change in a dogs bowel and bladder habits you should always rule out anything physical first. If they're cleared medically then you can persue the behavioral aspect of it.

I really wouldn't wait to take your dog to the vet. If it's a UTI, it's very treatable with antibiotics and goes away in a few weeks. It could be worse, like a liver problem. That could be fatal. So make sure your vet checks your dog's liver if the test is negative for UTI.
