That sounds like a good plan. In the meantime can you do things to cool her down in case it is the heat that is troubling her - perhaps you could put wet towels in her bed, a wet bandana around her neck, ice cubes in her water bowl?

vet did a exam. didnt find anything yet. took samples of pee, poop and blood. so im hoping something comes out of it.. disappointed in a way. still no answers.. not done yet. going to the groomers later today to get cleaned up and cut. under coat out to.

thanks for the post. those are good ideas.. my house is about 120 years old.. no a/c. only in 2 rooms.. those ideas will help thanks

Glad the ideas were something you hadn't tried already - they were all suggestions for someone on another forum whose dog was struggling with the heat in Calcutta. I'm assuming your in the States? Here in the UK there are dog jackets available that you can cool in the fridge - perhaps something like that would help.

Have there been any significant changes in your lifestyle lately? I wonder if she is perhaps depressed. My husband's dog coped fine with us working from 9 - 5 as long as he had a walk in the middle of the day. If he missed a couple of walks or if we went out for the evening twice in the week (he knew we would be out once a week) he would go off his food and be very miserable until we did something that he enjoyed!
