Hi all,
We are musicians, and my dogs always howl along when we practice! It's cute up to a point, lol. It doesn't seem to hurt them, they wag their tails and come close to us. I've heard maybe it's a pack thing? If you want to witness it, I put it on youtube, lol! Just type in "dogs howl and sing to Gershwin" and you'll see them howling with my hubby playing his trumpet, LOL!
Any thoughts?

My Husky howls everytime I sing. Is that bad? lol I like making my dog howl.

You asked if we had any thoughts. I know you said your dogs seem to enjoy it but I wonder. That music has got to be real loud to their ears. Dogs can hear things many times louder then humans. I forgot how much more but am thinking at least 20 (maybe 50) times! Now wouldn't that hurt your ears! And you would prob. lose some of your hearing too.
By the way--Love your Golden Retriever--my favorite breed. I have a Golden/Cocker Spaniel mix--love that combination too. What are your dog's names and which is which?

If you like hearing your dog howl---Lol, try howling like a wolf yourself and see what happens! I have done it and you may get some startled reactions and then some howling!

I tried. When me and my dog walker friends do the howling, Obi does the howling with no sound. Like a mute howling.
