Default Need help- thinking about adopting dog with seperation anxiety

My husband and I are thinking about adopting a dog with seperation anxiety. Im a stay at home Mom with a 3 year old and 8 month old. We currently have a 4 year old choco lab. Has anyone experienced owning a dog that has seperation anxiety? Im having some second thoughts about adopting him. He is the sweetest dog but Im afraid it might be too much with the kids and our current dog. Thoughts? He is with foster parents right now and after 4 weeks can make it about 4 hours in the crate but they say he will probably regress when we get him. Im just not sure if he is the best dog with our busy life. I appreciate any information on the subject!

Seperation anxiety in dogs can be over come however it takes a lot of patience, time and commitment..It is not an easy issue to deal with depending on how severe it is..He will have a lot to adapt to as far as the change in his surroundings and because he's being re-homed yet again it will probably cause the seperation anxiety to worsen a bit..With the busy life you have and having 2 small children as well as another dog a dog with this type of issue may be a bit much to handle.
