Default Any Idea's- 2 Puppies now in the house

Hi. I have a 9 week old English Setter(Sammi) and a 7 week old Golden Retreiver(Goldie). Both are female. Sammi was brought into the family on 11-19-05 and Goldie on 12-4-05. So far things have not been pleasant. Sammi has been all over Goldie from the moment she walked through the door. Sammi is biting ears, legs and whatever else she can get ahold of. Goldie just took it at first but is now starting to defend herself. I guess my question is, will they ever get along, I'm sure time will make things better(at least I hope it will). Has anyone else expericed what we are going through? We thought Sammi needed a companion, thats how Goldie was brought into the picture. I thank you in advance for reading and for any help you might be able to give.

Congrads on puppies! Yes sounds like your having fun! Well I have a similar situation but they don't live together a friend of mine has a 6mth old german shepherd bitch and I have a 2.5yr old Hunterway cross. They get along alright but the bitch mauls chip a lot we find if we take them to exciting new places together a lot keep them entertained then take them home let them both chill together and praise this she will eventualy get the idea. Still is very exciting when they see each other though. But this may not work in a living situation maybe take the over bearing pup and pull it away and then praise her if and when she is gentle with the poor beaten up pup! But apart from that I'm not much help. Good Luck!
