Hello all,

I know this is a pretty common behavior. My 11 week old Bernese Mountain Dog, Lola, constantly wants to chew our hands. I was just wondering what the best way to extinguish the behavior right away is. She is going to get quite large, so I want to stop bad habits as soon as possible. I'll tell you what I already do. She had "plenty" (meaning probably too many) toys. All different sizes, shapes, and textures. If she puts her teeth on my hand I firmly say no and give her a toy. Sometimes it works, but often she just wants my hand so she has no interest in the toy at that moment. I put some toys in the freezer and that helps. The vet recommended ice cubes but she doesn't show much interest.

So what has everyone else had luck with, with their pups? All ideas are appreciated. Thanks!
