Hi, I'm having a bit of an issue with my dog and I'm hoping someone can give me advice. I've had Pep for about 10 years, and he's always been a very well behaved dog, and always very quiet. In the last week or so, he seems to have completely lost his mind. He barks constantly. 24 hours a day, non stop. I'll take him out, and bring him back in, and he's fine, until I leave the room, and then he barks for hours, even after I come back. He's never behaved like this before. Any ideas as to what could be causing this behavior? :shock:

Well, one guess would be separation anxiety. Is there another dog in the house? Might want to consider one.

There are bark collars, citronella collars etc on the market. May want to check them out at your local pet store.

I had a dog that started out that way, barking when we left the house. I believe the problem is more or less fixed by:

1. We put a piece of cheese or some other goodie in it and give it to her just before we leave.

2. Don't make a big deal about leaving or entering the house. Payno attention to your dog at either of these times.

These last two items have helped tremendously in our house.
