can someone help me save this pup
To make a long story short: Someone put a 5-6 month old rotty pup in our fence with our 3 yr old shephard. This new pup has been severly mistreated, and will bite me if I appraoch him. He will cry when I am out in the fence cause he can not get to my dog. he seems to be very very attached to my shepard. My husband has gave me a week to turn this pup around to where he will not bite me. Animal control is not a option, cause they told me they will put the pup down the same day. nor is giving him away. will the pup evey come around? what can I do to help him know that all I want to give him is love. I have tried to sit out in the fence with dog treats, and when I tossed one toward him he freaked out and started yelping like I had kicked him. He will bite me but it is out of fear, not from being mean. but can I truely ever trust this pup even if we can keep him? Why is he so attached to my dog? What can I do to help him?
He is so pretty and just a baby.

Try a rescue group!
Have you thought of calling a rescue group, specifically a Rottweiler Rescue group, in your area?
They are probably going to be the best (and most experienced) people to deal with this complex situation.
Call people and ask for help. Someone will know how to handle this.

There is not one in my area. Noone seems to be able to help. I have called several vets, and noone has the time to talk to me. All the vets will tell me is I need to bring him in to get all his shots. I reply with OK...and tell me how to do this when he runs and hides, and will bite the crap out of me if I reach for him. I know he has worms bad. How do I treat him for that? I would like to help this pup myself, I am scared that if I give him away then they will give up and call the shelter. he is really bad. even I have thought there is no hope for him. til I look at him.

Which area do you live in?
If you're in the USA, which state do you live in?
If you're really stuck, and out of ideas, I will help you find a rescue group to help you (I work for Siberian Husky Rescue in Florida). I just know that there is someone out there, a volunteer like me, who can help.

Below is the link for national Rottweiler rescue:
http://www.rottrescue.org/national_l...tt_rescue.html
I have AT LEAST 20 other sites that I could give you, as long as you are willing to contact people to ask for help. It can be done as long as you have the time to do this, and truly want to help this dog.

I think we got our ideas mixed up....I really want to help this pup, and keep him. He needs me. but alittle update, he sat beside me, and smelled my feet moments ago. I wanted help with him, but not by getting rid of him, sorry if I sounded that way.

Rescue groups help people in a variety of ways
Rescue groups help people in a variety of ways. They don't just rescue dogs. They often help with behavioral problems, and go out to people's homes to offer advice on fencing, etc.
What I suggested is contacting a rescue group to see if they can help you to reach out to this dog. You need to have the skills of someone who is truly familiar with this breed. (I only know about Siberian Huskies.)
Does this sound like what you need? I am not suggesting that you give the dog away, but that you get skilled help that a breed specific rescue group MAY be able to provide. Our group here in Florida does do things like that for Siberian Huskies.
I do wish you lots of luck, and if I can help you locate a rescue group to help you reach and keep this dog, just let me know.
