Default Puppy Biting

My Jack Russell is 11 weeks old and he bites. I know this is both a Jack Russell thing and a puppy thing but I need to stop it, at the most discourage it as it is getting to the point where I dont want to play with him any more. When he gets excited he just starts biting everything and if he latches on to skin he wont let go and he will shake his head around and always break the skin. I have tried yelping like another dog would, he will eventually let go, but will always go back. If I keep my hands away from him he will just latch on to any other skin he can get to. I have tried giving him a toy instead of my hand but he isnt interested. Even things like pigs ears don't work. I have tried ignoring him, giving him time outs in a room that is empty but nothing works to stop him from latching on to my hand...or even worse another persons hand. Please help!

I had the same problem with my Dachshund Harvey, there is 3 things to try and they worked for me he no longer bites.
1) you can try putting bitter apple spray on your hands when he starts up they hade the taste of it.
2) have a water spray bottle with you at all time and when he bites spray it in his face if he comes back keep spraying and say No Bite! keep doing this till he stops.
3) lastly this one sounds really odd, but worked the best for me. when he bites shout YELLOW really lourd then stand up and go in another room and shut the door and stay there for 2 min. then come out. if he goes this again keep doing it. he will then put two and two together and think when i do this she leaves and most dogs hate being along.
try i really worked for me the last one worked best for me!

I used to do as homelessj said I would grab her bottom jaw so she couldnt bite me I didnt grab it so tight so that it hurt or anything just so it made it diffucult for her to bite, then she would soon give up.

A few weeks of this and she finally realised to stop biting me.

What I would do to keep my dog from biting, everytime he tries to bite me I hold is mouth shut and say "no biting". You have to keep on doing that until he learns. But don't do it so that you hurt the dog. Do it just to show him that he is not to bite.
