Customer Review: Very good buy for dog owners
The book was helpful in the basics of dog ownership. It was well written, my thirteen year old daughter used it to train our adult adopted dogs with in a week.
Customer Review: Less hokey and way more useful than other books out there!
After adopting a less than perfect young-adult dog of unknown heritage and environment (so adorably scruffy with just a little bit of rottenness!) from the MSPCA a few months ago, I decided to research the latest dog training theories at the library. I LOVE Karen Pryor, Trish McConnell, and the Monks of New Skete, and just wanted to build on their theories with any other new ideas. Unfortunately, it is very easy to find books by people who call themselves authorities but who have some seriously wacky ideas. I liked this one enough to order it from Amazon! Very common sensical in nature with some fun stuff to keep any dog owner entertained. Bert is a super fast learner, which makes this book even more fun. Good luck and remember to have a good time!
