Hi. Congrats on the new pups. I also breed Boxers. There is a lot of conflicting opinions regarding the "Black Boxer". The AKC does not recognize any coloring other than Fawn, White, and Brindle. Therefore anything not fawn or white is considered Brindle. Which can come in several colorings. "Brindle, Dark Brindle, Reverse Brindle, Dark Reverse Brindle and some call it "Sealed Reverse Brindle" which is a U.S. term for the "Black". Some will argue that it is not really a boxer if it is "black". The history shows "black" boxers in the very early years in Germany. Some will not buy them and some will pay up to $2,000 for them. I personally am looking to find a "Black" female. If you look closely enough a true boxer will still have "color" showing through the black. Especially in good light. Though it will appear solid "black". They also will be registered as merely "Brindle" with the AKC on their papers. AKC members are refrained from selling them as "Black". Consider yourself lucky and good luck!!! How many do you have? I currently have a 2 week old litter of 9 and a 1 week old litter of 5. Be sure to post pics!!! Also try typing in "Black Boxers" in your search engine. You'll find some good info and stuff about the history of them. Oh, and the pups do tend to "lighten" sometimes and you'll see more of their "coloring" or if they really are the "black" then the little bit of coloring you do see will actually start to "fade". Hope this helps. If you have any more questions I'd be happy to help if I can.
