I bought a little miniature ckc registered shih-tzu the end of august. This past week it passed away and the lab and pathology dx her with a liver shunt. The seller says she is not responsible since I did not return the puppy 24 hours after purchase per contract. There was never any contract signed or discussed. To top this, I had previously picked out another puppy prior to this one and it passed away one day before I was to get him. Now she states even though she is not responsible she will give me another puppy. I don't want any of her dogs, I want my money back. Her website states guaranteed genetic defects for 5 years. How do I go about getting my money and maybe vet bills? Would never have had to get lab and a pathology report if she wasn't being difficult. Another weird thing is she will not give me the name and number of her vet so that we can fax him pathology results. Seems odd to hide the vet that you use. Oh well, can anyone give me some advice? I am sorry for your loss. have you checked to see if your state has a puppy lemon law? this puppy wasn't shipped on top of all else was it?

did you print out what she has on her web site? I would right now before it disappears.

there were so many red flags here I honestly cannot believe you even bought a dog from this byb.

#1 one puppy dies
#2 ckc reg.
#3 no contract or written health guarantee
#4 minature shih tzu
#5 puppies should be at least 12 weeks old before leaving mom so would have shots, worming etc. you should have gotten vet records. ( little sarcasam there ) she is not providing you info because there is none

do you have a true full name & good address for her? have an attorney write her a letter. good luck

I got royally screwed by a gal that brought me a dog with parvo, thus killing 6 of my dogs, even tho every one is vaccinated, I should have isolated the pup but cuteness took over my better sense.

to the tune of 2500.00 with vet bills and the value of the dogs. Im having my best friend lawyer circuit court Judge is writing a scare letter. the woman wont take my calls and I made her a really great deal.

If you know a lawyer i would go that way, and have it sent certified mail. thatll scare her enough to prolly get the job done

I FEEL SO SO SO BAD HOW OLD WAS YOU SHIH TZU WHO IS YOU VET AND WHAT IS IT CALLED. I HAD A GREAT DANE AND THEY WERE VERY WIERD THE BILLS FROM THE VET WERE SO SO SO SO MUCH. WELL ANY WAY I GOT A NEW DANE IM ALSO HOPING THAT YOU WILL GET SHIH TZU AGAIN YOU WILL BE SO HAPPY WHEN MY DANE DIED I BOUGHT ANOTHER DANE AND I WAS SOOO HAPPY
