Default sick dog in heat?

My friend's silky australian terrier is in heat and throws up a white mucus every morning. Is this normal? Should she taker her terrier to a vet? Thanks Oh, also the average heat is 3 weeks, correct?

No I don't think it is normal. No dog should be sick every morning unless there is a reason. I think she should take it to the vet. ---Aggy
