Default Golden Breeding

I have a male that Im trying to get to mate with a female golden. She is just about to quit bleeding and he is already trying to breed. She is moving her tail to the side but he isnt penetrating. This is her first time. How many days after bleeding is she in heat and which days of the cycle are best? Ive tried this with him before with the same dog and left him with her for about 4-days and he would get on her but never did lock up with her. I was thinking it may be because there were other dogs around so this time I brought her to my house so they could be alone and maybe he would penetrate. Please give me some good info as to why he is not penetrating. Is it too early in her cycle? Is he too old? hes 9. or does it have something to do with it being her first time? Please help I want a puppy off my dog and he isnt getting any younger! Thanks!

Just because you re-worded it a little bit does not mean the answers will change.

when you know nothing about breeding - you have no business doing it. PLease read answers in the other forum you posted this in. Oh I guess you did & they weren't what you wanted to hear.

I hope you are taking him for checkups frequently as with his age & not being neutered he is at huge risk for cancer - prostate problems, anal tumors & testicular cancer

sounds like you live in a world of worries. My dog gets regular checkups and the good lord will take care of me and him. I dont worry about cancer and things of that nature. lord if I did I would be a worry wart. Thanks for sharing your thoughts though.

yes, I do, you are absolutely right. for 15 years I cleaned up after careless irresponsible owners & junk breeders like you who "didn't care" either.

Consequently I try to offer preventative info & advice & share practical experience & knowledge. unfortunately it is the animals that suffer because people "don't care".

You don't worry about things like that and you don't health test because you're a backyard breeder and they usually don't care!
