Cool Breeding Daisy

hi i have a female chiwowa crossed with a rat terrior,
shes been with my family for 7 years,
shes a mother goose as she takes care of my pets when they are sick, treating them as her babies,
she never hurt any thing or any one, but she will chase unknown cats away, but anything that we touched shes knows its her new Family! lol

anyways, when she was 2 years old a black lad dog bred her! but she had a miscarriage! soon after and the lab was taken away by its owner so it would not happen again,
daisy is perfectly healthy, now we want to breed her with a pure bred chiwowa!
will it work? becouse someone told us if a small dog gets bred with a big do she will never had babies! and she may be to old?

She is definetly to old!....She's in her 40's in human years....Alot of small breed dogs have complications with pregnancy and delivery and to breed her at her age would be very wrong!...It wouldn't be fair to her at all!

you are very lucky she miscarried as they could have easily killed her. I really don't see how he made a successful entry considering the difference in size. I would have thought he would have ripped her end from end.

by not spaying her she is at much greater risk for several kinds of cancer as well as a usually fatal uterine infection.

females should not be bred after 5 years. why would you want to breed a mixed breed dog? it is also very possible she would need a C - section which usually run around $1500

its time you started being responsible with this dog & get her spayed asap!

incidently - its chihuahua

Why the hell would i get her spayed? shes the only dog within 20 miles! there are 2 other female dogs around. but no males,
we are not sure how she was bred by the lab, but a guy looked at her and said, did she just have puppies? we said no, then he said she must be pregnet then, but 6 years later we still dont know what happend, but her nipples were haning down,
and whi are all of you screaming with me for jsut asking a simple question,
you are remining be of another forum were everyone has a attatude problem!

"why would you get her spayed"? for her health ( guess not ) because you know she is to old to breed? ( don't seem to care about that either )

so you got the same results on another forum - good for them. ever think it's YOU with the attitude?

LOL, if you cant spell the name of the breed, is it really a good idea to have it make bubbas?

Dont get too fired up on this one sue or ree, this one is just here to try and raz us up. He/she is after nothing more than a bite for their own twisted satisfaction.

Just a giggle for us though i suppose

how the heck can a dog get sick for not getting spayed?
none of you is spayed and your still alive!
and your telling me a dog should not get bred if shes not a pure bred, now thats
Sick!
shes better looking than any of your pure breds!!! and belive me tons of people told me thay would pay Hundreds of dollers for her puppies!

reading in the news papers about pure bred huge dogs my dog is 30 times the dog, shes does not rip the faces of of children! or kill them, like most purebreds, who were bred for looks not as a family mambers!
get over yourselfs!

and FYI stop making fun of my a spelling i had no spelling in school, and when we finaly did get spelling, out teacher was killed! last march!
a truck went over in her lane she was driving on, and drove over her car. killling her on the spot!

i will post a picture of daisy! proving shes better looking then any of your dog's.

yes, women do get "spayed" its called a hysterectomy. I guess you edited that part out but it is similiar.

female dogs are at 80% higher risk for mamary tumors if the go into their first heat & that does not diminish if you get them done later. they get uterine cancer & can also get a horrendous infection called a pyometra which is seldom noticable until it is very advanced & usually fatal. it requires emergency spay surgery. the others require surgery too but when you hang "emergency" in front of it - hang about an extra $1,000 on it.

males get testiclur cancer, prostate problems & anal tumors.

neutering normally makes a big difference in behavoir & attitude.

the planet is over run with homeless dogs & cats from careless, irresponsible people breeding or letting them breed. shelters are killing them by the thousands. in some countries they just shoot them, & some they put poison out & let them suffer to death

i dont know if the chance of miscarriage is big in your situation... but if you plan in doing it i hope your pet will be strong enough to go through the labor and giving birth.

great news, good for you, now I hope you will get her spayed for her health & so she doesn't get pregnant. the males have been known to chew through walls & will dig under or jump over a fence to get to a female in heat
