Default I needf some advice please

Hi there all i have a female Rat Terrier that's in her 3 rd heat cycle and we have a male here that's not tryi9ng to do anything other than aviod her is there anything i can do to get him interested in her? He does go up and sniff her hindend but don't do anything other than follow her around..any help would be good at this time..thanks

You should consider having your male checked by your vet for a urinary tract infection.

I think you should consult a vet for that...but try another observation before hand...probably its not the time...

How old is the male? Just because a female is in season does not necessarily mean a male will always know what to do. In many cases males do not figure it out til 3 or even 4 years of age. In addition, an experienced male will not mount until the female is in the right cycle of season. She will be in season for 3 weeks but that does not mean she is receptive for that entire time. Average is at 9 to 13th day of her season when she is most receptive and an experienced male will know this when testing the urine.
