these are not questions you should be coming to a message board with but talking to your vet. it sounds like you have no relationship with him or her & no mentor either.
hard panting is usually a symptom of pain. she should have been X-rayed, ultra sounded or both.
get her to the vet asap to insure she is not in trouble
people should not breed when they know nothing about it

sue is exactly right!....You should be talking to your vet or mentor not a message forum!....This must be the first time you've bred her...How old is she?.....I hope you get her spayed after she has this litter....I don't think it sounds like you have the knowledge to be a responsible breeder.

I'm sorry for your husbands injuries, & please thank him for his service to our country.
"what should you have done"? you should have had her spayed years ago. helps prevent cancer & an often fatal uterin infection too.
as for "we don't know what's going on" we have to go by what is posted there are many people on here with at least 10 - 20 years experience & are quite qualified to give advice actually everyone is judjemental - some just don't admit it. if something is written that appears to be a possible danger to the dog - should we not mention it?
as for 1st time "breeders" there is a lot that goes into being an ethical breeder.
I stand by my post

thanks
thats fine i just wanted you to understand that i did not breed her on purpose and that i did everything possible xrays ,to feeding her the right foods ,etc everything but being that i was so nervous and the vet was telling me the same thing over and over again to relax and she would be fine i wanted to get a second opinion when there was no vet to answer the questions i understand why experianced breeders judge i mean she just had all her pups 10 and i helped her through it ,with what i had looked up and talked to the vet about and it was something wonderfull to help with and i understand that there are people who do it for cruel ways and dont care just to make money but i just want you to know i am not i will get her fixed after this i never thought of it bc we never thought this would happen but now we know as for my husband thanks and thank you foreverything

You are exactly right, there are a few people on here that jump in with there opinions before they know the full facts. I cringe sometimes at answers that have been said to some people who are asking for help. There is good and bad in everyone, but not everyone is bad because they have a dog that got pregnant. I am sorry that your dog got pregnant but it was nobody's fault --just circumstances at that time. I hope your husband is better soon and that your dog and her puppies are all ok, the main thing is that you can find responsible owners for them and make sure it does not happen again.Good luck.-----Aggy
