milk, please reconsider. It is wonderful that you have a cute dog that you care for, and love, but this does not mean that you will be able to produce healthy strong puppies.
I noticed your other posts about finding a pup, I am assuming for breeding? The reality is that if somone were to sell you a purebreed chi (or any other breed really) without a spay/neuter contract, is probably selling you a BYB or mill dog, who have no real particular concern about their breeding program, which will leave you more at risk of unwell, unhealthy pups.
If you want to get into breeding in the future, I would reccomend finding a good solid breeder who will offer you years of mentoring, and preperation. Teaching you the ins and outs of the show ring, and the ins and outs and pros and cons of breeding and help you understand the true expese and time it takes. Then when you are ready they may then set you up with the first breeding stock you require.
It is all well and good breeding your cute dog, but it is not so cute, when the puppies start dying, or have heriditary issues or defects.
