Okay guys so today..i was in my house and i saw a dog and she was all muddy and dirty..i went outside and whistled to her..I thought she would run away like every other dog i ever see..but she came to me..after further noticing..She had,,well,,umm..'boobs'...I dont know if she is about to give birth or if she has already given birth somewhere else..I dont want her puppies to die if she did have them somewhere else.Here are some pics of her and help me figure out if she is preggers or has already delivered..I also felt her tummy...I felt some 'gurgling' movements but maybe it was digestion so idk.If she has giver birth somewhere else should i let her go or what>>

She doesn't look like she's lactating a lot. My female had very large nipples after giving birth to her babies and she's still got them. She could have just weaned her litter because she doesn't look skinny (as most females lose a lot of weight and bones protrude right after birth)

The sad truth could be that she was someone's "breeder" who got out or was thrown out and was running the streets. She doesn't appear to be nursing or a recent mother. Although the pictures (with her hair) make it a little hard to tell. I'll wait for vetgroomer to chime in. I've only had one litter way back in 06 and since all my dogs are fixed.

No, she does not appear to be pregnant, nor does it look like she's nursing a litter. If she is still nursing, within 24 hours of not being with her puppies she'd be full of milk, possible dripping milk. It would be easy to express milk from her nipples.

She appears to be a dog that has had multiple litters in the past, though. And probably had a litter within the last year. You do need to take her to your vet and have her spayed ASAP if you intend to keep her. She also probably needs to be wormed, and tested for heartworms before being put on heartworm preventative if heartworm is a problem in your area. And she needs vaccinations, especially rabies vaccination.
